Steeping & Enjoying Tea
Steeping and Enjoying Tea
To enjoy an enjoyable cup of tea, the tea must be carefully brewed in order to appreciate its many features. The quality of the water, the amount of tea leaves, the steeping time and temperature are all crucial elements for an ideal brew.
How to Prepare Tea
How do you know the amount of tea leaves to brew to suit the quantity of water? The more tea leaves you use, the more concentrated the brew, which can cause an imbalance in its components. To avoid an unpleasant experience, use 2g or one slightly heaped teaspoon of tea leaves for 150 to 180 ml of water. Another option is to use tea bags, which makes life very convenient! Our tea bags have the precise amount of tea leaves in them for the perfect cup of tea.
Water Temperature
The wrong temperature of water can destroy or alter some of the aroma and flavor of tea. Controlling the water temperature allows you to balance the constituents in each cup of tea. There is an optimal steeping temperature for each type of tea, which should be followed to bring out all of its flavors and health benefits. To guide you, the appropriate brewing temperature is marked on all our packaging.
Perfect Brewing Time
It is essential to also steep your tea for the correct time to bring out its entire flavor. Brewing times vary between 2 minutes and 8 minutes, and are determined by the chemical components of each tea. For example, an Oolong needs to be brewed for up to 7 minutes. For the perfect tasting experience, we suggest you following the indications on our packaging. To avoid leaving your tea to brew for too long, we suggest the use of a timer.
